The 70's - Minicomputers/Unix Servers
Still green screen text but hardware was smaller and more affordable, slightly easier to program, easy to administer as processing is central.

The 80's - PCs'
Rich graphical user interface, relatively low cost, productivity increased as did introduction of viruses and administration nightmare begins!

The 90's - Thin-Client Computing
Benefits of unix-like administration (centralised and secure) and benefits of pc-like performance and rich GUI (gone are the days of the green screen)

2005 - Access On Demand - the next wave of business computing
Web enabled Thin Client Computing for secure access-on-demand from any device, anywhere.
